On May 16, 2024, the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education (MoE) to facilitate a phased transition of responsibilities by end of 2024. The strategic partnership will see RAK DOK gradually assuming responsibility for regulating private schools in the Emirate. The move, which aligns with UAE’s educational goals and Ras Al Khaimah’s Vision 2030, marks a pivotal step towards advancing private educational excellence and performance in the Emirate, while attracting top-tier educational establishments.
The MoU signed by Her Excellency Dr. Rabaa Al Sumaiti, Undersecretary for the Performance Improvement Sector at the MoE, and His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Alnaqbi, RAK DOK Board Member, will see RAK DOK working towards elevating educational standards to world-class heights and addressing the diverse needs of our students, including students of determination.
