The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has announced a major improvement in the performance of private schools in the emirate, as revealed by the latest UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) quality evaluations.
In the 2023/2024 academic year, the number of schools rated ‘good’ increased from three to seven, with the British School Al Hamra earning a prestigious ‘very good’ rating—the only school in the Northern Emirates to achieve this. This progress underscores the collaborative efforts of the MoE, RAK DOK, and private school stakeholders.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, RAK DOK Board Member, commended the schools for their notable achievements, stating that these results are in line with Ras Al Khaimah’s Vision 2030, which aims to elevate the educational system to international standards. “This progress is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all those involved in Ras Al Khaimah’s education sector. RAK DOK’s ongoing efforts and strategic initiatives are aimed at fostering excellence within the private school sector and ensuring that students receive the best support they need to thrive. Our team will continue to build on this positive momentum through collaboration and a shared commitment to delivering the best outcomes for our growing community in Ras Al Khaimah.
